Electric Vehicle AC Traction Motor Speed Controller

It is supposed that the AC motor controller AC-2 should be reprogrammed for each individual application. If you want to reprogram the AC-2 inverter for replacing an old controller, please contact us.

The ZAPI AC inverters AC-2 FZ8307 are used as the AC traction motor speed controller for electric vehicles. Typical application: EAGLE golf cart.

We supply also the AC inverter AC-2 for Goldwind wind power generation system. If you need an AC inverter of other ZAPI model, please contact us.

Overview:

Within the ZAPIMOS motor controller family, the AC-2 FLASH inverter is the model suitable for control of 3.0 kW to 8.0 kW motors. It has been expressly designed for battery electric traction.

The AC-2 Inverter is suitable for reach and counterbalanced electric trucks with single or twin drive motors, high level order pickers and tow tractors fitted with asynchronous motors. For different vehicle types, the AC-2 offers an excellent flexibility on the motor working current and power efficiency managnent.

Features Include:

• Voltage & Current ratings: 80V / 500A (other models are available: for example 48V / 400A)
• Inverter for AC asynchronous 3-phase motors
• Regenerative braking functions
• CAN-bus interface
• Flash memory (256 Kbytes On-Chip Program Memory)
• Digital control based upon a microcontroller Voltage: 48-80V
• Maximum current: 500 A (RMS) for 3 seconds
• Booster: 10% of maximum current for some seconds
• Operating frequency: 8 kHz
• External temperature range: -30 °C to 40 °C
• Maximum inverter temperature (at full power): 75 °C
• Any future technological updates are made clear to the user. The communication protocol will continue to evolve, thus offering increasing possibilities of interaction. For this reason, the ZAPIMOS family offers a standard dialogue mode with external systems, for easy interfacing with commercially available machines. ZAPI offers a range of programming consoles with various features and prices, for example the ZAPI_HHC handset (not ZAPI product, made by a Chinese manufacturer) and ZAPI Smart Console (original ZAPI diagnosing tool)
