Waterproof Reversing Monoblock DC Contactor

12-48V, rated for 100A, industrial winding system & electric vehicle motor reversing contactor

Fully compatible with Albright DC88P contactors, monoblock DC contactor DC88-xxP features single pole double breaking main contacts, designed for motor reversing.

Sealed to IP66 thus offering greater protection against adverse environments such as water or dust, DC88-xxP is widely applied as motor reversing DC contactor in winding system and in variable battery powered vehicles.

Developed for both interrupted and uninterrupted loads, the DC88-xxP is suitable for switching Resistive, Capacitive and Inductive loads.

• Interrupted current: opening and closing on load with frequent switching (results in increased contact resistance).
• Uninterrupted current: no or infrequent load switching requirements (maintains a lower contact resistance).

The DC88-xxP features single pole double breaking main contacts with silver alloy tips, which are weld resistant, hard wearing and have excellent conductivity. The DC88-xxP main contact circuit, designed for motor reversing, is such that it has a built in failsafe, so that if both coils are energised simultaneously the contact arrangement is open circuits. The DC88-48P has M8 stud main terminals and 3mm screw-in terminals as coil control connections. Mounted using supplied brackets, mounting can be horizontal or vertical, when vertical the M8 contact studs should point upwards.
