ZF Gear Tooth Speed & Direction Sensor

Two-Channel Hall Effect Sensor, With Mounting Flange

The ZF SD74-4502 sensors are Hall Effect products for measuring very slow movements of ferromagnetic targets. They work with an Open Drain output. The immersion depth of sensor detector is 45mm.

• Hyster forklift
• Crown forklift

• Typical air gap range: 0.3 - 2.2 mm (0.01" - 0.09")
• Wiring (refer to the photo on this page):
  • Red: B+ (wire number 1)
  • Black: B- (wire number 2)
  • Blue: channel 2 (wire number 3)
  • White: channel 1 (wire number 4)
  • For different applications, the connector form and the wiring sequence may be different. We may also rewire the connector per buyer's requirement.

For ZF speed sensor SD74-4502, it works with a wild range of supply voltage 4.5 - 24V DC (maximum input voltage 28V DC).

Note: an external pull-up resistor is required. The value of resistance is dependent on the supply voltage. The resistor should be connected between the output and Vcc.
